RPG speed sketch time!

I only had a caligraphy inking pen and a pencil with me while gaming... so when I wasn't with the party I was doodling and practicing.

At this point in time I was just seeing if I can get some bright lighting down in a quick sketch, but then my pen started running out of ink. Not to gross anyone out, but I decided to try smearing the ink by licking my finger tip and then physical smearing the saliva & ink on the paper.

I didn't have a brush and people were too busy gaming to stop me. I was having so much fun coming up with the shading by smearing it like a kid, I got a little carried away.

It's just a drow (dark elf) casting lightening bold.

ahhhh
what an artist will do for their art.....
but methinks a little black on the fingers was well worth it
considering how the drawing came out....
lots of flow and kinetic energy in this one.....

Thank you very much! The one thing college was good for was teaching all of us would-be artists that almost anything could be used as a "tool" for creating art.

I really love the lighting. Artists that use charcoals do the same thing, so don't feel bad. I think it worked great.
